The International Human Rights Art Movement works with artists around the world who risk their personal safety to have their voices heard. We do everything we can to support artists-at-risk in the manner that they feel best works for them. Many publish anonymously on our site — from Hong Kong, Nepal, Myanmar, Iran, even the United States and Canada, if they feel that their voice might compromise their safety in some manner. Others feel that the transparency offered by appearing on our international platform offers them some security. Some contact us — or have their friends or managers contact us — after they have already been jailed, tortured or exiled.

Currently, we are not in a position to offer direct action grants, though this is in our near-term vision. However, if artists reach out to us, we will post anything they would like us to on our social channels. Other resources for artists-at-risk include:
